Volunteer with We Plant it Forward for a day of service at the Raleigh Arbor Day Celebration!
On this day of service, join We Plant it Forward as we engage with the community to grow a healthier and resilient urban forest in Raleigh through hands-on environmental stewardship, restorative care, and education alongside local tree care experts.
As a volunteer, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about proper tree planting and help restore local ecosystems!
What you’ll do:
Volunteers will have the opportunity to…
Plant containerized trees
Spread mulch on a high density planting site
Observe tree care demonstrations (incl., composting, mulching, and pruning)
Collect native seeds
Remove invasive vines
…and pick up park litter to restore local ecosystems!
